Hello world! My name is Cameron Decker and I am a tech enthusiast, network and systems administrator, gamer, singer, and runner! Although I tried to avoid a career in technology in my younger days, I’ve been working in the field for more than 7 years now. Computer lab administrator, home and business IT consultant, gaming system builder, and computer technician are some of the hats I’ve worn so far. I graduated from East Carolina University’s excellent Information and Computer Technology program in 2013. I’m currently working at Lenoir County Public Schools where I tackle a little of everything–network troubleshooting, server administration, software deployment and maintenance, image creation and deployment, network documentation, remote support, security assessment and of course, customer service. In my spare time, I love to watch casual and competitive gaming streams on Twitch.tv, browse Reddit, and practice the twentysomething tradition of eating cheap.
As you can see, I also have a blog where I post some articles about what I know and what I’ve done. I consider it to be my way of giving something back to the IT community that has been so gracious and helpful to me in my quest to learn. I hope you find these articles to be useful and informative.
